Since the Yankees have “Joba Rules” to prevent Joe Torre from destroying his pitching arm, I believe they should also institute “Farnsworth Rules” to prevent fans from killing themselves.
- Kyle Farnsworth will not pitch the 8th inning ever again in a game that is remotely close in any manner.
- Kyle Farnsworth will not ever be brought into a game where the Yankees are winning unless it is by more than five runs.
- Kyle Farnsworth may be brought into a game where the Yankees are winning by less than five runs if the only objective is to start a bench clearing fight and they need someone to beat the other team up.
- If Kyle Farnsworth gives up a homerun, he will immediately be taken out of the game and fed to the fans if it is a home game.
These easy, simple to follow rules will not only help keep the fanbase alive, but they will also help the Yankees win games.
