I love the Yankees, and almost everyone on the team very much. And I really want them to do well. After their sweep of Boston I felt really good about the team, but now I am not sure. I don’t think the pitching will hold up, I think the bullpen is a mess both because of a lack of talent and a lack of rest and I never know if the patient Yankee offense or swing at the first pitch Yankee offense will show up.
I would be really surprised if they made it past the ALDS (I would actually not be surprised if they got swept by the Indians), but I want to believe. So, Thursday we’ll see which version of the team shows up. I hope it’s not the one that makes me want to stab myself in the ear.
