Total Matchups Insanity

Went to the game last night, got home late, still impressed by this craziness:

How Do They Manage To Make It Worse Every Year?

MLB’s press release about their new exciting, thrilling and awesome “There’s Only One October” campaign: Major League Baseball, FOX and TBS will roll out a series of new star-studded ads highlighting the excitement of Major League Baseball’s postseason under the theme “There’s Only One October,” starting today. Hank Opens His Mouth, Shock and Awe

From the Newsday: A day after promising that the Yankees will be busy in the offseason addressing their needs, Hank Steinbrenner Thursday named two pitchers in which the Yankees have interest. “Everybody’s looking at Sabathia and Burnett, not just us,” Steinbrenner said during Thursday’s game against the Red Sox. “We’ll see. Great American Ball Park

Finally got around to uploading pictures from my trip this summer. Here are shots from the first leg, Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. More pictures from both days can be found here

Pitching Matchups: Boston Series

The Yankees somehow eked out a sweep against the Orioles, which was extremely unexpected given their performance against the team most of the season and the fact that Darrell Rasner was pitching one of the games in the series. Well, Rasner himself was pretty awful but luckily Daniel Cabrera seems to have remembered he is [...]

In case you were wondering, Rasner still isn’t very good. I don’t understand why they didn’t find some fill in long reliever after Giese went down because I am pretty sure this will become a nightmare.
